We produce content related to recipes and food via the Website. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it whilst browsing. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We use WPForms to create forms on the website. When a user transfers information via the form, we retain this data for customer service purposes only and do not send any personal information to the third party provider.

We use both Google Analytics and WordPress Analytics tools to understand and help provide insight on how our visitors interact with the Website. This provides us with anonymised analytics and website traffic patterns to help us better engage with our visitors, diagnose any device or experience issues and to provide a better browsing experience. WordPress Analytics data captures IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: Spicella does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, Spicella can see that a specific post has 285 views, but we cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Articles on this Website may include embedded content from third parties (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc). Embedded content from third parties behave in the exact way as if the visitor has visited their website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and/or monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

The appropriate level of security has been applied to the Website to ensure we are responsible in handling and protecting your data. However can not guarantee the security of personal information that is disclosed online and you acknowledge information is provided at your own risk.

At no time should you submit sensitive personal information to the Website. If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our Website, we also store the personal information provided in the user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except cannot change username). 

We will store personal information in our database at the point of registration for as long as you engage with our Website. You can delete your account at any time or upon request. We will delete any inactive accounts after 2 years.
